About Us
The Arborist, Geelong’s go-to for both drinks and dinner, sits effortlessly at ease on bustling Little Malop Street.
It’s design is renowned for taking you to another place, with materials, texture and an arboretum palette all contributing to an enchanting urbane off-street experience. Muted greens, blacks and earthy tones complement the large European Ash trees that frame the building. The showpiece bar is a piece of exquisite green marble, and dim bespoke wall lamps diffuse over a slimline vertical brick dining wall, mirrored in the curved external fence.
The kitchen output is intelligently shaped by Executive Chef Anthony Hammel and Head Chef Chantal Chenery, allowing Middle Eastern flavours to present as hallmarks of their modern and plentiful dishes. Sharing is central, and the spread in serving size from bites of anchovy toast to whole lamb shoulder allows for variety to the table and various lengths of visit.
The beverage list is classically leaned, with a wide choice of eight taps, delicious wine at every level for all tastes, and cult-followed cocktails.
